The one player on the Los Angeles Lakersrumored to be on the trading block during the 2011-12 NBA season that was thought to be traded at some point between the beginning of the year up to the NBA trade deadline was two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol. Once the deadline came and went without a deal being made, no one was more relieved than Gasol.
Unfortunately, Gasol’s name was right back on the trading block once the NBA off-season began for the Lakers with the team looking to bring in a considerable upgrade at point guard. Despite endless trade rumors, Gasol has yet to be dealt by the Lakers with Steve Nash now in the mix in Los Angeles and Kobe Bryant believes he never will be.
