Bryant wary of Spain as US looks to emulate 1992 Dream Team

Kobe Bryant believes Spain is the biggest obstacle standing between the US basketball team and its goal of emulating the 1992 US Dream Team′s Barcelona achievements at London 2012.

"Spain. If we make it to the final, that's the team we're expecting to meet there. And we are ready for that," Bryant said Friday, singling out team-mate Pau Gasol as a major threat.

Although the US defeated Spain 100-78 Tuesday in Barcelona to complete a sweep of their five warm-up games before opening the defence of the Olympic title Sunday against France, Spain did use their height advantage to edge the first quarter. Spain also did not use All-Star centre Marc Gasol or backup point guard Sergio Rodriguez on Tuesday.

"We know that the lack of size for us is going to be something to adjust," admitted the Los Angeles Lakers star.
